Global Connect Challenge
Increasing health and happiness
Loneliness has been declared a public health epidemic, which means people, like your employees, are lonelier than ever. This is a chance to empower your members to make connections - old and new - and further support their emotional and physical health and wellbeing.
Join the movement of Virgin Pulse members connecting for good to combat loneliness, together.
Why should you participate?
A strong support system is a key part of our health and wellbeing, and research shows that social connections lead to better health outcomes. Social connection strengthens our immune system, helps us recover from disease faster, and may even lengthen our life. In fact – social connection leads to a 50% increased chance of longevity.1
According to recent studies, 33% of adults around the world experience feelings of loneliness and half of Americans are lonely, linking it to billions of dollars in health care costs.
Join us for our Global Connect Challenge where your members will learn simple and new ways to make connections with one another and communities because we're all better together.
“Loneliness is more than just a bad feeling. When people are socially disconnected, their risk of anxiety and depression increases. So does their risk of heart disease (29%), dementia (50%), and stroke (32%).” - U.S. Surgeon General
