I received a Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies (2010) from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN where my focus was Energy Healing, Perfectionism and Maladaptive Behaviors, and Nutrition. I have also received a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography and Performance (Dance) (2009) where my focus was Improvisation and Dance Film. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (2002) with minors in Women Studies and Dance from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.
I have experience teaching Yoga, Pilates, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contact Improvisation, Personal Training, and other group exercise to all ages. As a part of my thesis research I created a "Healing Affirmation Movement Meditation" where I combined affirmations with movement in order to dissipate negative perfectionistic thought patterns.
I also own my own business, Clear Heart Healing, where I work one on one with clients teaching Yoga, Pilates and performing CranioSacral Therapy, Healing Touch, and Reiki. Clear Heart Healings mission is to help people use exercise as a way to love their bodies rather than a way to punish themselves. Helping your body to heal itself.
I have trained as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, supporting families through the birth process.
I strongly believe that every person is valuable and deserves respect. I enjoy learning about people and supporting them in their goals towards health and wellness.
