The Intersection of Wellbeing and Diversity in the Workplace

Health equity begins in the workplace

Equity can be defined as "fair treatment, access, opportunity and advancement for all individuals" according to Dr. Aletha Maybank, and it's essential to creating a diverse, inclusive, health-focused workplace culture.

Health equity and equal opportunity are closely linked, with many aspects of our wellbeing influenced by the environments in which we live and work1—when inequality exists in the workplace or in society, it can have a negative impact on the health outcomes of marginalized populations.
