Four simple ways to increase social connectivity right now
by Alex Bronk on September 26, 2022

There’s a lot of buzz in the headlines around more organizations revamping their work environments to have staff return to the office either full-time or in a hybrid model. While a hybrid model provides your staff with work/life flexibility and could save on office expenses, this could also isolate staff and contribute to a decline in their psychological and physical health.
A strong support system is a key part of our health and wellbeing, and research shows that social connections lead to better health outcomes. According to Psychology Today, social connection strengthens our immune system, helps us recover from disease faster, and may even lengthen our life. In fact – social connection leads to a 50% increased chance of longevity.
What can you do to help staff create and retain social connections?
Did you know that you can help your members build social connections with the Virgin Pulse app? That’s right! As members connect with peers, friends, and family within the Virgin Pulse app, they’ll be able to:
- Socialize with one another via Challenges and Social Groups
- Invite friends & family to further immerse themselves into your program
- Recognize others through Shoutouts
